Pyeak

Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Pyeak is a platform for finding and organizing local sports games, courts and tournaments in the Philippines, built and run by Brainstorm IT. This policy explains what we collect when you use pyeak.com, who can see it, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

What you give us:

  • Your name, email address and profile photo from Google, which is how you sign in to Pyeak. We never see your Google password
  • Your profile: display name, bio, city, sports and skill levels, profile photo and cover photos, and a phone number if you choose to add one
  • What you create: games and weekly sessions you host, bookings, tournaments and registrations (including team names and the teammates' names you enter), posts, comments, photos, court reviews, and saved items
  • Check-ins at a court (“Playing now”), which end on their own after three hours
  • For venue owners and staff: venue details, hours, rates, the payment instructions you publish, and the email addresses of staff you invite
  • Reports you file about other users, including any evidence you upload
  • Venue claims, including the details and proof you provide to show you represent a business

What we record as you use Pyeak:

  • Games you join or leave, and whether you turned up (your reliability score)
  • Tournament match results, from which your rating in each sport is calculated
  • Players you follow, likes and kudos you give, and your notification history
  • Records others keep about you in their own tools: a game host can mark whether you have paid your share, with an optional note, and a venue sees the payment reference you enter for a booking
  • Technical information needed to run and protect the service, such as your IP address, browser type and the times of your requests

Your location:

If you allow it, your browser shares your location with the page so we can sort games and courts by distance and center the map. It is used in your browser and is not stored on our servers. The only location we keep is the city on your profile.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To run your account and the games, bookings and tournaments you take part in
  • To show you games, courts and players near you
  • To send the notifications and emails the service depends on (booking, game and tournament updates, staff invitations and venue claims), within your notification settings
  • To calculate reliability scores, ratings and player statistics
  • To review reports, enforce our Terms and keep the community safe
  • To prevent abuse, such as limiting repeated requests from one address
  • To fix problems and improve Pyeak

We do not sell your personal information, show you advertising, or use your information to profile you for anyone else.

4. Who Can See What

Anyone, including visitors without an account:

  • Venue listings, their reviews, and each review's author
  • Public games: the title, time, place, host, and the display names and photos of the players who joined
  • Public tournaments: details, brackets, results and live scores. Entrants whose profile is private are shown as “Player”
  • Who is playing at a court right now: everyone checked in is counted, but only people with a public profile and activity sharing on are named
  • Cards and posts you choose to share outside Pyeak

Other signed-in players:

  • Your profile, unless you set it to private; your activity and reliability score, unless you turn those off
  • Your posts, comments, likes and kudos

The people you play with and book from:

  • A game's host sees who joined, their attendance, whether they are checked in at the game's court on the day, and the paid marks the host keeps
  • A tournament's organizer sees its registrations
  • A venue's owner and staff see the bookings made there: your display name, your phone number if you added one, the booking details and your payment reference

Private games and private tournaments are visible only to the people in them; an invite link lets someone join. Pyeak's administrators can see what is needed to review reports, verify venues and keep the service running.

5. Payments

Pyeak does not currently process payments. Game fees, court bookings and tournament entry fees are paid directly to the host, venue or organizer, by the method they list (for example cash, GCash, Maya or bank transfer). We store the amounts, the status and any reference number you enter, never your card or account details. If we add online payments, we will update this policy before we do.

6. Service Providers

These companies process data on our behalf to run Pyeak:

  • Amazon Web Services — hosting, the database and uploaded files (photos and report evidence), in the Singapore region
  • Google — sign-in with Google, and the maps shown on court and game pages, which load from Google in your browser
  • Resend — delivering our emails
  • Expo — delivering push notifications, if you use the Pyeak mobile app and allow them

Because our servers are in Singapore, your information is stored outside the Philippines. These providers may only use it to provide their service to us, and are subject to their own privacy policies.

7. Security

Everything you send to Pyeak travels over HTTPS. The database and uploaded files are encrypted at rest, you sign in through Google so we hold no password, and access to production systems is restricted. No service can promise perfect security; if a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission as the law requires.

8. How Long We Keep It

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, your profile and the records tied to it are deleted straight away, the photos you uploaded are removed from storage within 30 days, and database backups, which are kept for seven days, age out after that.

An account cannot be deleted while other people are relying on it or a report about it is under review: while you host an upcoming game with players in it, organize an upcoming tournament with entrants, or own a venue with upcoming bookings. The account page says which applies and what to do about it.

9. Your Choices

From your Settings, at any time, you can:

  • Edit or remove your profile information and photos
  • Make your profile private
  • Turn off activity sharing, and hide your reliability score
  • Choose who may follow you, and block other users
  • Opt in to or out of “People Near You” discovery (off unless you turn it on)
  • Choose which notifications you receive
  • Download a copy of your data from Settings → Account
  • Delete your account from Settings → Account

The download and the deletion are self-service and take effect immediately — you do not need to email anyone. The download leaves out three kinds of thing, and the file lists every field it leaves out with the reason: other people's personal details, moderation decisions made about you or by you, and credentials such as session tokens and invite-link secrets.

10. Philippine Data Privacy Act

Pyeak complies with Republic Act No. 10173, the Data Privacy Act of 2012. You have the right to be informed, to access, to object, to correct, to erasure or blocking, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. Access, correction, portability and erasure can be done yourself from Settings. For anything else, contact our Data Protection Officer at privacy@pyeak.com.

11. Cookies

We use only the cookies and browser storage Pyeak needs to work: keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences such as the color theme, and saving drafts you have not finished. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.

12. Children

Pyeak is not intended for children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, tell us and we will remove it.

13. Changes

We will update this policy when what we collect or how we use it changes, and change the date at the top. We will tell you about significant changes by email or an in-app notification before they take effect.
